Mulkey Ranch in Texas
The Mulkey Ranch is a premier hunting ranch in north Texas! With breathtaking views and outstanding native wildlife, this ranch is unique find! Water/Rivers: The Mulkey Ranch sits on the south side of the Prairie Dog Fork of the Red River, which forms the Texas-Oklahoma border in this area of the state. The ranch has approximately five miles of frontage on this river. The Red flows water year around and is a natural attraction to the areas wildlife. It has formed a large bluff on the Mulkey over time. This bluff provides beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and offers several wonderful locations to build a house or other hunting lodges. There are approximately seven water tanks throughout the ranch, some of which are springfed. In addition to these water tanks, the ranch has several water wells dotted in its pastures. These wells are run by different means, such as windmills and electric/solar-powered pumps. Wildlife/Game: The whitetail deer on this ranch are truly phenomenal! For the last eight years, the current owner has only taken does and cull bucks to purify the gene pool. No trophy bucks have been taken off of the ranch. The deer population have been supplemented with corn, on top of the winter wheat that has been sewn for them. With plenty of water, food, and no hunting pressure, the Mulkey bucks have grown to be enormous! 170-180 pt.
